Who we are.
ClapMed is an independent software team building a modern EMR for clinics that care about privacy and clinician time. We're a small group focused on shipping practical tools that real practices can rely on.
Why we exist.
Healthcare software has not kept pace with the rest of the industry. Clinicians spend hours each day on documentation, often after their last patient leaves. Newer AI features promise relief, but most ship patient data to large external clouds — which is often a non-starter for clinics that take privacy seriously.
We wanted to build something different. A platform that combines modern clinical workflows with AI that runs on infrastructure the clinic controls. The result is software that aims to give physicians their evenings back without asking them to compromise on where their data lives.
We build for clinics that want a modern EMR on their own terms — independent practices, multi-specialty groups, multi-location organisations — with infrastructure that scales with them rather than forcing them into an enterprise rollout. We are deliberate about scope and try to be honest about what is shipping today versus what is on the roadmap.
What we believe.
Privacy is a feature, not a compromise.
AI that handles clinical content should run inside your environment. Patient data should stay on infrastructure you control.
Clinicians design the software they use.
We build with input from people who do the work — clinicians, practice managers, and the staff who keep clinics running.
Software should reduce work, not add to it.
Every feature is evaluated by whether it gives time back. If it adds clicks without removing more, it does not ship.
Where we are today.
We are an early product team. Core clinical workflows — patient records, scheduling, notes, prescribing, labs, and billing — are shipping today. Other capabilities are still in development, and we're transparent about which is which on our features page.
